    Great coworkers
    Good benefits
    Good salary (competitive, at least for managers)

    Cons

    Management just started paying dividends...and then laid off employees. Communication is poor and they are out of touch with the people who do the real work of the company. They are only concerned about shareholders.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Layoffs every other year do not project a stable company to shareholders or anyone else. There is a lot of waste that could be cut to reduce expenses, but you need to ask the people that know - non-managerial employees. Go beyond the VPs to get more insight into your company.

    Cant plan for anything unless you take a day off. On call 24/7

    How about more of a set schedule. On 3 weeks off 1 or something of that nature to plan activities with the family.

    Pros

    Pay is competitive within oil and gas industry and benefits are good.

    It is very easy to get promoted within 2-3 years, sometimes even less.

    Company is very safety conscious.

    Cons

    Lots of processes to get anything done thus making one's work harder than it actually is.

    Turnover rate is relatively high within company, thus promotions are due to back-filling. This leads to people not being experienced with their job.

    Lack of communications between different departments.

    Lack of training within organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Less micromanaging and processes. Need to retain and develop current employees rather than constantly hiring new ones.

    Pros

    Knowledgeable technicians and flexible work schedule. I enjoyed working in the field with no supervision and being trusted to complete tasks with trust. Pay is very competitive.

    Cons

    Business is very up and down meaning you never know when you might have long periods of time with no work or pay. Training is still being developed and not up to par with the demands of the job.

    Focus on sustaining the company and less on developing different services that technicians have little or no knowledge of.

    Pros

    During my time at Tesco I enjoyed my coworker's presence. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and if you need help anyone in any department is wiling to help you out.

    Cons

    Sometimes communication is a bit fuzzy between departments and it takes awhile to get some things done unless a lot of upper management gets on people to do something.

    Work on strengthening communication and emphasizing main goals
