I have been working at UCLA part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Since this is a part-time job, but it still offers good salary and flexible schedule to determine your own working schedule. Besides, the it provides a discount when you bought things, etc.

    Cons

Need to constantly communicate and keep in touch with professors and TAs, but some of them seldom appear in their office hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at UCLA

    Pros

Everyone is helpful and when you are new they are always willing to teach you the procedures for certain jobs.

    Cons

The patients tend to be very needy and difficult and willingly file complaints against the administrative assistants. This makes working there a lot more difficult.

I have been working at UCLA full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule; commuter job; very good balance of work and life priorities; every department is different so speaking with employees (past/present) in that particular department is advised. My office is less political than many other departments.

    Cons

HR gets confused a lot as would any large company. Could be political depending on situation/department (i.e Academia.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More staff trainings and group activities to foster growth and promote loyalty/sense of belonging, esp with new staff.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
