What can Brown do for you?

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at UPS

ProsUPS is an excellent company to work for if you value efficiency and service. Sales methodology is the best I've been exposed to in two decades in sales.

ConsBe prepared to go wherever and whenever they tell you that you are needed. Failure to accept an assignment is career suicide.

Advice to Senior ManagementUnderstand and accept that employees sometimes have to put family first and decline an assignment.

Decent company to work with good benefits

Part Time Package Handler (Current Employee)
Louisville, KY (US)

I have been working at UPS part-time for more than 5 years

Prosgood benefits, decent wages, pension, union backed, there's potential to make good wages

Conspart-time, union backed, sometimes you wonder how some of the full time and building managers were able to get so far when they are so bad at their job

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement needs to get their story straight and protect the employees that are good workers and punish the bad one, and they should know who those people are and not get them mixed up. Management needs to know what their employees are doing to.

although full time is nearly impossible you have job security, good benefits, and good amount of vacation

Part Time Package Handler (Former Employee)
Ontario, CA (US)

I worked at UPS part-time for more than 3 years

Prosgood amount of vacation, raise in pay every six months or so. benefits are great and the job itself is easy. As long as you keep it good with management you will be fine. easy money. working for a good company like UPS for long opening doors at the beginning because of being able to work for a well known company. I would gladly go back to UPS if i could.

Consthey dont really offer full time. technically have to put your time in. but 10-15 years of part time just wasnt for me. I hated that when i first started time I went in was from 12noon to 4pm. every few months it would just be later and later. now an old friend still working there says there start time is at 330pm and there out by 830pm. those are just ugly hours.

Advice to Senior ManagementI know your under a lot of stress from upper management but just take it easy and let your area loaders do their job. there is no need to threaten or babysit. being under that type of management just sucks. dont try to act like your smarter than your loader especially if they have been doing that position for a long time now.
