    Pros

Personal Growth, Money, Benefits, Helps Build a Resume, Room for advancement, Opportunity to better one's health. There are many benefits to joining the military including education benefits. It will convert someone that has not achieved much in life and turn them into a great achiever if that person is willing to apply themselves.

I worked at US Department of Defense full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Overall excellent experience. The culture of the workplace is very "we" oriented and attitudes are mission focused.

    Cons

I found myself most qualified for positions however not most eligible "... time and grade..." is first reviewed as done so in most big bureaucratic systems operations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not much... Management was excellence. To continue to develop and encourage young employees to stay with the Federal Service

I worked at US Department of Defense full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great team to work with. I worked at the Troop Medical Clinic at Fort jackson, and I totally enjoyed with working with the troops, and providers. Health insurance is great!

    Cons

Found that some of the co-workers there were dog-eat-dog. I was offered to take a course for Lean Sigma Six course and another person "took" the place in the class (they are not planning on attending college or actually using the certificate).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you don't like the current administration just wait a while, it will change.

I have been working at US Department of Defense full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Working with our service members and the benefits (medical, dental, holidays)

    Cons

Not easy to promote. Too much corruption in the hiring process. Hiring managers have the ability to manipulate the system to place whomever they want into a position, no matter their education or experience.
