Current Employee – been working at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – The company provides a great deal of education and development for the employees to succeed. The employee discount is good, and ocassionally the employees receives products at a deep discount.
Cons – The associates are expected to be totally available to work in order to be scheduled for a lot of hours. It takes a very long time to close the store.
Advice to Senior Management – Moral takes a significant dive when the associates don't get scheduled enough hours. This affects performance.
Keep one more person on staff for closing so that it doesn't take 2 or more hours.

Current Employee – been working at Victoria's Secret Stores full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – -Nice discount 40% on quality product
-Free or highly discounted bras/merchandise bundles every month
-professional company image
-customer connections
Cons – -Surprisingly as ethical as the company claims to be and wants to encourage, when faced with a problem regarding time theft in the store, HR took a long time to respond and the problem was swept under the rug.
-Required to work weekends and holidays
-Manipulative, slacking managers get highly-rated reviews if they suck up to the store manager
-Company is taking on a position to totally "say yes to the customer" and you feel taken advantage of when many people come in, trash your store, get free stuff with next to nothing in exchange for the business.
Advice to Senior Management – An issue regarding managers stealing time from the company (with a paper trail!) went unresolved and managers got away with it. How do you have a "culture of honesty" when those who try and report dishonest behavior are discouraged with HR/DMs ignoring the problem! It diminishes morale among honest managers and reflects badly on the company overall. Regardless of friendship between various managers and upper managers, LP and HR issues need to be handled with utmost fairness and integrity and better accountability for taking care of reported cases and issues.
Many managers aren't in fact leading by example and some associates and managers who really are trying don't get proper credit because of favoritism!
Stores large and small need constant LP and time clock audits to enforce honesty.

Pros – Great atmosphere and coworkers! Nice pay and discounts that grow the longer you work there. Great college job for working between and during semesters! I worked there during the summer and was able to work in all departments, on the sales floor and on the register.
Cons – No cons come to mind at this moment. My time at Victoria's Secret was nice and I enjoyed it.

Current Employee – been working at Victoria's Secret Stores full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – The time that I can devote to changing women's lives and inspiring them through self confidence. Not only my customer, but also my team.
Cons – Old thought habits, outdated thinking.
Advice to Senior Management – Senior Management, We know you love implementing new ideas, so start letting go of old ones. Eliminate outdated operational tasks so that we can invest more time into our customers and their experience in our stores. A hand written schedule would be faster than our scheduling system, and TRE? Move on. Let's start focusing on a quicker, efficient check out experience for our customers.

Former Employee – worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time for less than a year
Pros – There was a great atmosphere. It was fun and the music was upbeat, customers were generally friendly which made working great.
Cons – It was the first 6 months of opening so it was highly disorganized, some managers were frustrated and rude, there was a high turnover
Advice to Senior Management – Prepare more for new store openings - opening was rushed, hectic and confusing. Highly disorganized and a very high turnover the first few months at the Eaton Centre location.
