I have been working at Xerox full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

They did change to where the longer you work there, the higher your pay is, up to either 13 an hour.

    Cons

It can be difficult to move up. even if you know your job and you're good at it, it's a popularity contest. so someone who's not qualified at all will move up while you're stuck where you started. You also have to deal with many customer's who like to yell at you or tell you how much they hate the company, or who want everything done for them right then and there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

promote people based on skill and not popularity

I worked at Xerox full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Remote locations - about it!

    Cons

Everything else - Xerox will promise potential clients anything to get the sale. Sales team equivalent of used car salesmen. Promise them ANYTHING - even taking their existing HR reductions in force once the sales close. So, then you have former clients who are now internal and still best friends with the clients upper management - Real SMART - so Xerox gets the disgruntled spillover of staff that the client didn't want in the first place giving out trade secrets about Xerox. GOOD MOVE

I have been working at Xerox full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Xerox is very flexible when it comes to work schedule. Allows for multiple days out w/o termination. Xerox has a community environment. Very laid back

    Cons

Xerox Houston office is not professional. Employees working there have felony records and still get hired. Salaries are not competitive. Xerox likes to pay based on performance which means they start you at a low pay rate and ask you to make up the rest with numbers they may or may not be w/I your control

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Xerox is not a place for growth. You can work there for several years w/o a pay change. There are opportunities for promotion bt that's due to a high turnover rate.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Entry level pay is standard for a customer service representative at about $10/hr
You meet some nice people at work
Its normally a pretty safe environment to work

    Cons

Xerox has become a vendor site for a lot of companies such as Aetna and Sprint. The customer service representatives they hiring are not the top of the line candidates. They are constantly late with paychecks and numerous employees have been charged with contempt of court due to Xerox not completing paperwork in a timely manner for deduction or child support orders. Xerox also doesn't work with your schedule.

I worked at Xerox full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Lots of Overtime, You get to meet a lot of people, Advancement

    Cons

Always messing up your pay and expect you to wait, There was a lot of favoritism, In order to move up it was always about who you knew! When you do get an advancement they never tell you that it is just a temp position and you could be working as though you were a Supervisor the whole time. No back pay when it came to going into that position, There are lots of unknown things: No one's word is good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you let your people know that they are temp before you tell them that are truly in that position, don't have people working for free.
