Employees are over worked and under valued. There is no appreciation for going above and beyond; just more demands.

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The opportunity to work with resources who are subject matter experts in their field. Flexible work hours and remote access.

    Cons

Despite positive feedback during performance review process, there have not been any increases in salary for several years. Employees required to take unpaid leave, i.e. furlough, in order to cut expenses. Loss of good talent due to jobs eliminated in the US. No attempt from Senior Management to retain experienced or tenured resources.

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Learned to support and advise on iPhone/iPad/iPod/iCloud/iTunes/iOS, Apple TV, and Apple computers. Coaching to improve on my soft and call center skills are great.

    Cons

Pay per hour is low, paid holidays policy can be much better, and attendance requirement is extremely strict.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay employees better and work on improving the Cons stated.

I worked at Xerox full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Easy to get the job. Always understaffed so overtime available if you want it.

    Cons

8 hours plus a mandatory hour of overtime per shift and constant pressure to do more. No life outside work when work is 10 hours of your day. Extremely unpleasant job burns people out quickly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When your turnover is so high you should realize the long hours at such an unpleasant job are a contributing factor and not force overtime; you may hold on to your people better if you had part time employees since they wouldn't burn out so fast

I worked at Xerox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The only thing good is the work schedules are not so bad, if you are permanent compesation is pretty good.

    Cons

Too much strees, cannot take time off, only if you are severly sick. You can have advancement, but only if you are in good terms with your superiors.

I worked at Xerox full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I met some great people that were very talented in the organization. It's a shame that the Company is so lousy to employees.

    Cons

It's not a question of if you will be laid off, but when. RIFs galare to the point of running skeletal bones to service high end clients. Mediocracy floats to the top but everyone is basically throwing everyone else under the bus to save their sorry jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No point. They are greedy and worship money... not people.

I worked at Xerox full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The only good thing I ever saw out of this job is the people you work with can potentially be pretty outstanding. You'd almost always find someone with similar interests like you have which makes for good friendships outside the work place.

    Cons

Depending on which site you work at, theres going to be a massive difference between what you are taught, and what the Operations Managers want you to do and it will get frustrating real quick. And almost no one except maybe your own supervisor will ever listen to any concerns voiced by you or your teammates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If an agent is voicing that the main reason why they have so many transfers is because people are calling in to technical support and getting Customer Service anyway, listen to them. Fix the system so that if someone calls a Customer Support number, they get Customer Support, or if they call a Technical Support number, they get Technical Support, and that should apply to people wanting to pay bills and such, meaning once they call the main number, send them directly to the department they wish to go to, that will definettly save on transfer time and the like. If that doesnt seem to work, then you should consider lifting the horrible 10 minute per call restriction because it is impossible to finish a call in under 10 minutes when you are working with an 85 year old customer and they have a very hard time following what you are explaining to them.

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Xerox still has good employees that care and work hard. Still has great name recognition.

    Cons

Micro management and no raises in 5 years. Upper management no regard for the "lower level" employees. Outsourcing common.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start caring for your employees. Stop taking raises at the top and ignoring the main line workers. Make people feel like they have a career path. Show a clear direction, Services vs. Technology.
