I worked at Xerox full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I met some great people that were very talented in the organization. It's a shame that the Company is so lousy to employees.

    Cons

It's not a question of if you will be laid off, but when. RIFs galare to the point of running skeletal bones to service high end clients. Mediocracy floats to the top but everyone is basically throwing everyone else under the bus to save their sorry jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No point. They are greedy and worship money... not people.

Current Employee - Technical Engineer in Lexington-Fayette, KY (US)

I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The pay is decent if you like working 60-80 hours a week for weeks, months or years on end. Peers are personally supportive and knowledgeable about their jobs. There is plenty to do and plenty to learn.

    Cons

Management lies and provides no support, starting from the top down. From what I could see over the years, Management was there to get their bonuses at any cost to their employees. Outsourcing of Technical Positions has wrecked employee morale and spirit. The long, hard hours dedicated hard working employees spend working for Xerox are wasted and they are never going to get those back. I think it may be better to find a Company that really cares for the employees and shows it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do something to get the morale back up. Morale has been DOA for years. Stop having one employee do the work of 3 or 4 people. Give your employees a chance at having a life and spread some of that bonus money around in the form of RAISES which are mostly nonexistant. Instead of forcing your Technical people to become Certified on their own time, after 60-80 hour work weeks, block out some Company time specifically for them to obtain that Certification. Lastly, bring the Technical jobs back to the USA where you can and will get employees that care about what they are doing, and cut out some of the bureaucracy and help them get the work done.

I worked at Xerox full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

was a great company. 70s and 80s were great. started going down hill mid 90s with Allaire. Never re-covered from cooked upper management. Current CEO has carried on that tradition.

    Cons

current culture and management could care less about the employees. their main goal is to fill there pockets.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

dump Burns go back to original innovative focus.
