Boardwalk Pipeline Partners is looking for a Lead Analyst/Business Systems Analyst for the Houston, TX office. Level determined commensurate with experience.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and launching corporate/financial systems and supporting core organizational functions and business processes (Oracle EBS, corporate websites, HR-Payroll). This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. The incumbent will also be responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable cause and possible solutions to system issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to support development processes and ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications.

Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders. This includes interviewing stakeholders and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the entire software lifecycle.

Assist in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications that support core business processes. Collaborate with vendors, business users, programmers, network administrators, system analysts, and database analysts in resolving problems during the applications lifecycle. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts based upon conceptual user requirements to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.

For small or medium sized projects, lead the definition, testing, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments. Define project plans, including the scope, schedule, cost, development, testing and implementation. For large projects, the incumbent will lead one or more sub-teams.

Ensure that all required system and compliance documentation is complete and accurate.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of five years experience in a combination of systems development and IT project management
• Three years experience using Oracle EBS financial modules
• Proven project management experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation software and hardware solutions, systems or products; inclusive of budgetary responsibilities
• Working technical knowledge of programming languages and network/PC operating systems
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user friendly language
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Bachelors Degree in IT, MIS, CIS or related field
