Travel benefits are nice but flights are very full so it is difficult to travel free. Many stories of people having to fork out $1000+ to get home, etc. If you never have to be back to work or don't mind losing hotel/cruise reservations then it's not bad Buddy passes are basically worthless; very expensive and they go LAST in priority. None of my friends & family have used them in years I throw all of mine away every year. Delta does not fly to many international stations as it used to, so you can get to AMS or CDG but then you're on your own.

Best: Profit sharing. they pay 15% on company's profit to every employee every year. Health, vision and dental insurance is very good, and the pay you up to $150 per year if you register as a non-smoker Worst- Holiday have to be requested in advance

I lost my retirement during Delta's bankruptcy and I am too old to recoup the loss through the current defined contribution plan. People like me were forgotten. While we currently have been receiving profit sharing that has been the exception during my career at Delta. I have given back in pay cuts and lost retirement far more than any of the current profit sharing.

The best is flight benefits. Disability benefits the worst. I paid for 80% for 14 years and was denied it after a work injury. I’ve been disabled 10 yrs, they cancelled my disability after 30 days & refused to allow me to return to work because my doctor said I couldn’t, which was true but I would have tried in order to keep my benefits. But they cancelled my disability under the guise that Sedgwick CMS said I could return to work, & refused me employment because my doctor said I couldn’t. Never has made sense to me, but I’ve been on Worker’s Comp which I thank God everyday because I know in my heart that they would have fired me if I did force myself back to work because I’m no longer a reliable employee due to severe pain from the CRPS that my work accident caused.

Great company. Great strategy. Poor leadership, especially in IT, resulting in poor employee satisfaction
