Great benefits package. Starting paid time off was a little low.
Paid overtime and mileage reimbursement
Gallo has a very good benefits plan. Being a family owned, private company there are no stock options but there is a very generous 401k match.
The 401K plan is excellent. The PTO compensation is more than fair, and the employee discount is an awesome perk.
Good: Employee wine shop with discounted wine. Commuter bus from east bay. 401k matching. Bad: PTO policy could be more generous. Vacation and sick time are looped together, and they start you at only 15 days. This forces people to work from home when they’re sick in order not to burn up vacation days. Health care is expensive because they only cover half and it’s Kaiser(ugh). No stock options because it’s a private company. They offer profit sharing but you have to work there for years before you’re eligible. Women’s nursing room is basically a windowless closet. Office isn’t pet friendly. They are a super conservative company and are loosing tons of good talent to companies in the Bay Area with unlimited PTO and amazing benefits. If they invested more in benefits I think they would attract better talent.
Benefit package is competitive for a company this size.
Match your 401k to 3%, great benefits, health incentive program that gives you money back for gym membership or lifestyle choices
Gallo is a great company to work for; however the salaries are a bit low. That being said the have a great benefits package.
Health insurance, 401K and profit sharing - all great benefits. And then there is the employee wine shop!
The 401K company contribution is top notch.
