You don't have to work on weekends and you don't have to tutor on the holidays if you don't want to so plenty of time to travel
basic Super for teaching only, uni-super is good
There weren't really any perks.
No holidays as I was on contract Very flexible working hours nice office environment High workload No job stability Nice people to work with
Pro: Being able to work from home and dictate own hours
Good Place for studying, I enjoy my 2 year life in UQ.
Good: high superannuation than other organisations Bad: salary package and sacrifice options not clear to new staff
best is the unisuper for about 17%, and some extra payment if on paid holiday. worst is that salary is not high compared to companies and takes a long time to upgrade to a higher level.
Best: Very good superannuation (17%), paid leave, maternity leave, flexible time.
Fantastic Maternity leave - six months full salary! Good staff education programme. A list of courses available every year to staff. Academic staff can also undertake professional educations courses as part of their employment.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
