Excellent benefits package. PPO is expensive, but the HSA is very good with a company match.
The health insurance per month contribution are way less than what I used to pay at my previous employer which is a prominent name in the financial business. Also VMware contributes 50% more in my HSA than my previous employer.
Best benefits out of any company I've ever worked for.
Good. Good 401k match, unlimited vacation policy. Bad: Management at NSBU very aggressive. Always bites of more than they can chew. Engineers feel the brunt of their mismanagement.
Comp is good and competitive
+ Stock purchase program, 401K matching, individual budget for training, Volunteer work is seen positively, VMware licenses for self-learning, Online learning portal access - Dental is horrible ($1,000 yearly and out of pocket after),
Don't know much as worked as consultant
VMware has great benefits; the best was the on site gym. also lots of snacks and food
Great cafeteria food and lots of snacks. Must pay for subsidized gym and lunch. Great campus location and design.
* Unlimited PTO - The managers I have worked with have been very flexible with the leaves, it is quite unlimited - though only limited by the project needs. Though it is not the same for all managers. Some managers still use the spreadsheet to count the number of leaves ! * The health insurance package sucks! - It has an annual deductible of 5000$ for the family! - Location - The Palo Alto VMware location is beautiful, it is full of trees, and resembles a resort. If you come via 280, it's a treat to the eyes. * 401k - The company matches it. - A lot of community events - though you may not have the support of your management chain for it.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
