Hi, we are being told that we are allowed to work from home (VCC) from certain states and not from other states. States on list Delhi, UP, Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal. We are told it has nothing to do with Amazon, its government policy that allows work from from certain states and not from other states. Can any one specify what is this government policy is there any name to it..... if I want to tweet about it to raise awareness about it

what do you mean by job family?
It means the work category, as in Tech role, non tech role, Customer service, RBS.
The states on the list you mentioned are allowed or not for WFO? Sry statement was a bit confusing

VCC is allowed only on states which have an Amazon Development Centre (ADC) in their particular mentioned states.
That's not correct, VCC is also available for Kolkata, MP etc. But they don't have any Amazon development centre site. VCC's availability actually depends on the job family.
I am wondering why Maharashtra is not in the list
