I have been in the logistics and supply chain vain of work for the past 5 years. Each year leveling my role and this past January I made the leap into the corporate sector of things as a Logistics Operations Associate (shipment coordinator). I've come to realize this is just not for me and I only stuck with it because it is something that I just know the ins and outs of. I really want to make a career change, my only issue is I do not have a degree. I really want to be a Data Analyst or a P.M.

    I completely understand where you're coming from. I'm currently in the same boat. Wanting to pivot into Tech from a human service background with no degree. Have you looked into any certifications? I'm researching some currently through LinkedIn Learning, Grow with Google & Microsoft Learn. Hope this helps😊

    I have not looked into any certs, maybe I should start there. I know a couple of people who have taken some on coursera.

    Hi, I second what QTC1 said in the above comment. If you can't get a degree, at least get some certification. You have to show them something that's relatable. Good luck!

    Is there any paths I can take that isn't traditional to these roles. I really do not have the financial capability to fund myself through college. I get very little from FAFSA and my parents do not help me. I pay my own bills etc.... living in LA isn't cheap I feel stuck and unmotivated with everything working against me. I know this sounds like a pity party. My job offers to pay for my education but I have to commit 5 years post degree achieval and I rather off myself than work for this company that long.

I'm 50+, and I'm feeling the pinch of "aging out". I see a lot of 50-67 age groups being let go, forced to quit, laid off, or retired early. Would you hire a customer success manger from marketing background? I’m trying to make that transition myself. I feel like a lot of the relationship-building, communication, and customer-facing skills carry over pretty well. My only concern is that I’ve never worked for a SaaS company before. Do you think that’s a major hurdle, or are companies generally open to people coming from adjacent backgrounds?

Has anyone made a lateral move within a hospital without a clinical background? I've been a cook for 16 years and I'm ready to get out of the kitchen. My position is casual so shifts aren't guaranteed. I've been applying externally but nothing is biting. Recently applied for an internal Messenger role as a first step. Any advice on what roles are realistic without clinical experience?
