      Court Monitor

Has anyone worked for Epiq in Australia? I’m interested in applying as a Court Monitor as I have several years experience. My only concern is that since the job has moved to the private sector, the pay and conditions has dropped dramatically. I worked for both the Government and the dreaded Court Recording Services (horrific company, I hope they went broke and their directors went to jail). So yeah. I think I’d breeze it in, I just want to know what they’re like to work for. Cheers.

What a quiet forum this is? Questions hardly get answered and with little comments. I find most Australia job forums very slow and boring. People aren’t open to answer questions or provide guidance. Can’t we borrow a leaf from US forums on here? Very energetic and engaging - people and professionals always willing and happy to answer questions and provide guidance to peers, for job seekers, and experienced professionals wanting to pivot elsewhere or move vertically.

Hi everyone, I recently moved from Belgium to Australia and I am looking for jobs in Melbourne. I have a bachelor degree in Accounting, a certificate in Finance and worked at Deloitte for around 3 years as an Accountant. Does anyone have some tips, job refferal or recommendations for me to help me get a job ? I always wanted to be an (internal) auditor for so long, I believe can't get job without certification, can someone recommend any? Thank you for your help :) Cheers

Any U.S. startup founders doing business with (or expanding into) Australia? I’m a U.S.-trained lawyer (ex V-20, top-tier VC/M&A firm) now based in Australia, where I’ve built a legal practice helping early-stage and growth companies manage cross-border legal work — especially across the U.S. and APAC. I charge at mid-market rates (typically 40–50% lower than U.S. BigLaw), work U.S. hours from Australia, and offer fixed or flexible pricing. Happy to be a sounding board!

Hi everyone, I’m currently looking for my first job in Australia(Melbourne), mainly in civil/structural engineering roles. I’ve applied to many positions but haven’t received any positive responses or interview calls. I’ve also updated my resume with ATS-friendly keywords and tailored it to job descriptions. I’d really appreciate any honest advice on what I might be missing and how I can improve my chances of securing my first job. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I’m exploring new opportunities in digital marketing and CRM. I have experience managing multi-channel campaigns (Oracle background, APAC/EMEA), strong CRM and analytics skills (Salesforce, HubSpot, Eloqua certified), and a deep interest in strategy and brand growth. I’m based in Sydney and open to remote or hybrid roles across Australia. Please let me know if you know anyone who is hiring Regards

I moved to Australia for my partner and have been working freelance for mostly clients from back home in the UK. It's been incredibly hard to find friends or like-minded people. I work in the legal services industry and it looks like there are very few people here in Perth pursuing that career. Where can I socialize and mingle with people in their 30-40s out here? Doesn't have to be people in law.

Are there any USAO DC AUSAs here? I love my firm but have been considering applying to the USAO DC office to become a career prosecutor, but I am not sure whether this is the right time. I saw a politico article a few weeks ago where it seemed like the DC AUSAs are working around the clock these days, which gives me the most pause (my firm hours can get intense but at least I can WFH).

Hello, I am from Colombia and currently in Australia on a student visa. I have experience in Human Resources but it’s been challenging to find a job opportunity in Adelaide. Could you please give me some advice on how I might secure an opportunity where an employer can see the skills I have to offer? I don’t have problems if I have to start working in entry level position. Thanks.

Howdy all, I'm a newbie here. I have recently moved to Melbourne from Sydney to be with my partner and am looking for a new gig. I'm a former journo/PR/government affairs type and am open to contract and casual roles. I'm also a freelance writer. Would love a contact in the Vic govt to explore possible media manager roles. Thanks for dropping by and best of luck to you all!
