Sadly I would tell people to run from being Sales at Autodesk. First thing to understand is there are 3 parts of the business- Construction, manufacturing and media and entertainment. If you come here look at only construction or media and entertainment. The manufacturing side has tons of turnover, unrealistic expectations and all you can sell is software, The implementation comes from partners that you have zero control over. Ask good interview questions to see if you get the truth.

I had a discussion with some people this weekend about job boards that autofill a resume template with the one you just carefully tailored and uploaded. You then have to go through the autofilled template to fix omissions, placement errors, etc. The way I handle it now is do a 2-minute dry run through with a test email and test resume, to see if it gives you an option to simply upload the resume, or if you have to manually fill it in. Then I choose the best, most accurate method. Thoughts?

I'm a trim carpenter if 8 years and I have been recently trying to break into the automotive industry. Out of highschool I took votech classes for auto 1 and 2 and graduated with two ase student certs. I also have spent a year in Orlando Florida at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute although I was unable to finish due to financial troubles. I am currently having no luck at even landing entry level positions. I have most of the basic tools. Any techs out there have some tips? Any help appreciated.

✅ Today: Built automation loop structure Tomorrow: One cell populates with real data Day 3: Three tokens pull data successfully Day 4: Manual scan of MUTM documented as a case study The AI model I am using Know's I have ADHD, and building a small business takes hours and hours of time. The only wins are self driven. I have been in complete hyperfocus mode. Was feeling burn't out. I created structure that is actually working. Anyone else try this? Thanks to those here for the inspiration

Has anyone actually found a job using an auto-application AI tool??? I have previously resisted using an AI agent to auto-apply but am at a breaking point. The old school method of personally/individually applying for each position on a company website is very time-consuming for such a low number of interviews - not to mention mentally and emotionally exhausting/draining. For those who found a job using an AI agent - which which one did you use? Any to avoid?

I have a 4 yo who is obsessed with racing cars, my husband is also a huge fan of F1. We don't do screen time except occasional travel screen time (international flights) but lately I have noticed my son and husband watching F1 races (Grand Prix qualifiers) which are not too long but probably count as screen time. My son is really excited and knows all about the teams, ledger board and names of racer I would have thought he won't be able to pronounce... My question as a FTM*

Applied to a position at PwC that I’m a good fit for, received a rejection email 5-10 mins after applying (resume not read by a human). Assuming no issues with resume, skills, or experience, I’m thinking what likely triggered the auto rejection is my response to the desired salary portion of the application. Entered a salary that is on the higher side given my years of experience (3.5 YOE, $155k-$175k). Is this a common reason for applications being auto rejected?

Is my career safe if AI actually starts automating parts of my job? I’ve been a mid-level software engineer for five years, mostly building internal tools. Recently our roadmap added “AI assistant integrations” and I got floated into helping train the model. The weird part is I’m now teaching a system what I used to build, and I’m not sure if that means future jobs will be mine or the model’s.
