my best friend’s (24) dad has cancer and prognosis looks to be maybe a couple years MAX. we see each other almost everyday and talk/text thru out the day so this is common topic of convo daily i want to be more supportive w my words but im not sure how. i feel like im running out of things to say and im not sure whats appropriate or not when he says things like “my dad wont be here to see his grandchildren” i’m at a a loss of words bc this is most probably the truth. cont. in comments

I’ve been a Sterile Processing Technician for a few years off and on and one advancement-in my opinion- I’ve always been interested in but can’t seem to find any solid information, “consignment rep/ consignment associate”. Those are the people who bring medical trays and instruments for surgeons as well as restock implantable devices for companies like Stryker, DePuy, etc. Not sure what the exact job title or real description is but any advice would help. So I’ve been working on this thing I call Nyrixn. It’s kinda my own take on what AI could be if it actually felt more human, not just another voice assistant reading off facts. I don’t code, not do I have any type of tech degree....I’m more on the idea and design side of it all. Just trying to figure out where someone like me fits in the AI space without pretending to be something I’m not. I’ve got the drive, just need to find the door. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I just completed a SUPER HARD assessment for a job. I had the hardest time trying to figure out how to merge 2 columns into one without retyping the text. We never use this crap in admin. Jobs. I only got 2 questions wrong & im PRAYING i get an interview. My supervisor is such aTOXIC, NARCISSISTIC person. She requested to be off on the SAME DAY as my birthday the day after Labor day. I asked her if I could be off on the same day as her, she told me 2 submit my time & STILL NO APPROVAL. WITCH!!🤬

Has anyone done a prescreen with Oracle? I was invited to prescreen via zoom with a senior recruiter; however they asked me to take a picture for a “digital badge” and I’ve never seen a request like that before. Is this normal? I’m a bit wary of scams, so just wanted to see if anyone had done this. It’s also a video prescreen, which I’m not used to. I’ve almost always done recruiter screens just over the phone.

Currently 4th at AM100 firm, below market comp, but on track for NEP and feel confident about prospects. Considering a jump to a market paying firm but worried about starting from scratch and not having the same prospects of making partner. Would a recruiter be able to identify a firm that has what I’m looking for? I don’t want to screw myself.
