DLA Piper hybrid real estate leasing position - non-track. I have applied for this position, choice of office would be either Houston or Atlanta. Atlanta has a bigger headcount, any advice as to choosing between the two. Also what’s the impression of their real estate department in general and their commercial leasing practice group in particular. I have been practicing for 15+ years, mostly in house so I’m not turned off by it being non-track on paper but would like to know of any issues.

Thoughts on DLA Piper moving away from Swiss Verein structure? Would that consolidation of U.S. and international firms impact its AmLaw and other rankings? https://www.law.com/international-edition/2026/03/12/dla-to-move-away-from-verein-structure-and-operate-one-profit-pool/?slreturn=20260314153301

Sooo DLA Piper is really going to trial against a former Senior associate. The associate is suing the firm for pregnancy discrimination. I hope she wins! https://abovethelaw.com/2026/04/dla-piper-headed-to-trial-over-firing-of-mom-to-be/

Anyone know why DLA is changing its structure? The US branch of the firm is significantly more profitable. According to law.com, “The firm’s U.S. per-lawyer metrics for 2025—$1.6 million in RPL and $5.2 million PEP—were higher than the firm’s global per-lawyer metrics of $878,000 RPL and $3.4 million PEP from 2024.”

I saw on pitchbook’s global league table Q2 2025, DLA Piper has London listed in parentheses. Is there a difference between DLA Piper (US) and DLA Piper (London)? Are they even the same firm? Thank you.

If you’re a mid to senior associate at a V20, couldn’t you realistically dip to DLA Piper or Dechert and work less but make the same? Why don’t ppl do that and what’s the downside if any? Serious question

DLA Piper’s real billable annual requirement in the employment team? Official is 1850 billable + 150 pro-bono/client development/etc, for a total of 2,000/year. Is there an unspoken expected billable requirement above this?

Does it make sense to apply to DLA Piper in Miami if I wasn’t a star law student (I don’t recall rank but I was deff bottom half)? Does anyone know anything about this firm?

DLA Piper is requiring four days a week in person for corporate attorneys. Why did DLA Piper do this? Didn’t they allow people to be fully remote or at least were hybrid?
