      Jobs in Retail & Hospitality

      Sia Door Supervisor
      5mo

How in the world am i supposed to get my foot in the door in security? Ive obtained my door supervisor license a few months ago, supposedly the most beneficial of all SIA licenses and all i hear is “you need to know someone” idk if its me or everyone makes it sound so easy to get a job in security but im finding it extremely difficult and really its starting to affect me a lot because ive been trying for so long. Every job post wants at least 2 years experience and its not like i can volunteer?

So I had an interview with Kids Foot Locker on Wednesday and it went really well, but I ended up getting the rejection email yet again. I am going to keep on being positive though as I see the rejection as a blessing in disguise. I also saw some Pennies on it's heads side about 4 times this past weekend. This might be a myth for some, but when I was growing up seeing Pennies on it's head side meant that something good was going to happen. Hoping I hear back from someone really soon!

Transitioning Air Force member, with 8 years experience with Geospatial Intelligence and GIS. I am really hoping to get a foot in the door, tried for skill bridge but it wasn't available in my area. I was rejected for an entry level Lidar position within a day of applying and am slightly confused. I am really just hoping to get a foot in the door in the civilian sector and am more than willing to start from the bottom and work my way up. Does anyone have recommendations or insights?

I just got hired as a new tech maybe less than 2 months ago (im not sure all the days are dreadfully the same). My feet are killing me!! I just got a pair of comfort wear shoes but those seem to have made my feet worse ...any suggestions? Im also struggling with the work itself. I recently started affermations and also saying,"i work today for a better tomorrow". To my ppl who have been in in the tech life longer than I have, what helps you get through the day?

Doctors don't know what's wrong with my foot. One day I was using kettle bells barefoot in the gym. The next day my foot began hurting and never stopped. Nothing shows up in x rays. The issue is that I work in the medical field standing all day and have few other skills. I can no longer run around the large facility all day and I am panicked. Savings gone, looking at homeless shelters but they won't help until my ass in out on the street.

So I had my interview yesterday at Foot Locker and it went really well. I forgot to mention that I want to make a career out of working there, but I did bring up some good points that I am reliable and I would come to work on time. I would say I had a great interview experience with them, very different than the one I had 2 years ago. I won't know anything until next week. Hopefully it rules in my favor!

I'm waiting for this year to go by and I will be applying to Foot Locker again. It's my dream job. Hopefully the location I plan on applying to will be hiring by then. Working at Amazon 5 different times, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Fedex, and Academy Sports and Outdoors should help me land the job. Wish me luck!

I've been looking for a Customer Service job for months now. I have applied to Shoe Palace, Foot Locker, and Kids Foot Locker only to get rejected by them. I also had an interview with Burlington this past week and they rejected me tonight. I have an interview with Ross Dress for Less on Monday. I am really hoping I get the job. Wish me luck!

I really need advice on how to get my foot in the door in the HR scene. I worked at a big pork production company as food safety and currently employed as a part time supervisor. I recently graduated and received my bachelors in business administration with a focus in HR, but everywhere I apply it gets rejected. Any advice or job opportunity? Willing to relocat.

Anyone here from DoorDash and have any advice on how to get my foot in the door with the company? There are several strategy and operations related roles I’d love to be considered for, but don’t have any connections. I’m considering being a driver literally just to get a leg up in the system… not sure if it works like that tho 🫣
