      Amazon Interview Prep

      Engineering

I've been contacted for initial interviews for three Amazon roles. I already went through one initial interview, and have a loop interview scheduled for next week. I've also been contacted to set up initial interviews for two of the other positions. This has apparently sent my recruiter into a tizzy... She's telling me that I need to select only one path and must withdraw from the other two roles. Can I not put my eggs into more than one basket? I'd hate to close two doors just by opening one

I am really hoping to get a foot in the door, tried for skill bridge but it wasn't available in my area. I was rejected for an entry level Lidar position within a day of applying and am slightly confused. I am really just hoping to get a foot in the door in the civilian sector and am more than willing to start from the bottom and work my way up. Does anyone have recommendations or insights?

JOB SEEKING, Am sharing- I landed a job that i love despite it being not my dream job but better outcome- travelling Sometimes the reason doors haven’t opened yet might be your resume.it may not be telling your full story. Don't wait for the perfect opportunity—create it. If a company you admire offers growth, apply for a role—even part-time. Get your foot in the door & build from there. That’s exactly what I did 3 years ago, and it led me to my job. I focused on developing many skills.

      Interview Tips

Has anyone interviewed for an advisory role at Hatch? I passed an HR screen, then a behavioral + case interview with a Director, and now have a third round scheduled with a Senior Manager (behavioral + case again). Would love to hear what to expect at this stage — case complexity, evaluation criteria, or anything you wish you'd known. Any insights appreciated!

I keep hearing the siren song of in-house life. But I’m nervous about getting pigeonholed into one industry and capping my earning potential long-term. I’m a 5th-year associate, and some days it feels like in-house is the escape hatch I desperately need. If you made the jump, do you regret it, or was it the best decision you ever made? Would you trade the paycheck and variety for sanity?

The best landlord hack I’ve discovered? Include lawn care and snow removal in the lease—but charge for it. Tenants love the convenience, and I outsource it anyway for $70/month total. I add $50 to each lease, cover the cost, and pocket a little margin. It’s simple, but it adds up across multiple units. What other small systems have helped you boost returns or reduce headaches?

For those who are close to or at retirement age and have nest eggs and not have to worry, please give suggestions for those who are getting close to retirement age but need to start investing somewhere or depositing money somewhere. Also, life and burial insurance, what are your suggestions and takes on this?

Anyone interested in taking over a lease for a nice one-bedroom in Old Town Park tower 2? Would run mid-March to mid-September (6 months). And then you could always renew of course. Would be in the ~$3k range and a good deal for the building. Moving out of town and they have fairly draconian early exit rules.

For those of you who have always had dogs, does your dog sleep in your bed? I just got our family our first dog. We definitely need time to get her adjusted to our household, but there is talk amongst my family if we want her to be allowed to sleep outside her kennel.

Sometimes when I get turned down for a job, I think about egging the establishment. My sister said I love eggs too much and they are too expensive for me to waste. I missed out on a rental and I wanted to egg that place too. Thank you for listening.
