      Surviving A Toxic Workplace

I’m honestly disappointed with how WFH requests are handled in CTS. When the company needs you, extending work hours is never a problem. But when you genuinely need flexibility, suddenly there is “policy” and “HR approval”. I provided proper justification to my PM and HCM. The answer was just to push me towards HR. Meanwhile, people in the same company have permanent WFH just because their PM supports them. So is WFH really about policy, or just about how much your manager wants to stand for u Cognizant Cognizant

On H1B and planning to buy? A mortgage for H1B visa holders is mainstream. Lenders accept H1B with SSN, W-2 income, and valid I-797/I-94. Get full pre-approval, compare 3 same-day Loan Estimates, and ask about conventional vs FHA, PMI choices, and rate-locks. Keep credit use under 30%, season funds 60 days, and request an employer letter on continued employment. Share your scenario and the community can help. https://dreamhomemortgage2.wordpress.com/2025/08/22/mortgage-for-h1b-visa-holders-2/

New to Hyatt.. was always a Marriott girl until I’ve found it impossible to get good redemptions. I’m sitting on 150K Hyatt points and 2 FNA’s (CAT1-4). Any good recommendations for nice resorts for a week stay? Thinking somewhere in the Caribbean, but open to other suggestions- I just want to take a vacation on points somewhere nice😂

Just booked 2 biz seats US to Tokyo on JAL for 55k points each! Will be on the new A350-1000 plane. Transferred C1 miles back during the transfer bonus when it was nearly 1:1. Booked at calendar open. As someone who has been solely transferring Chase to Hyatt, I've finally gotten a great biz flight redemption. Now to figure out the return flight...

I am traveling from NYC to Chicago for a reunion in August. Any recommendations for a Hyatt loyalist (globalist) for a property that is super convenient to night life, central for exploring the city? 3 of us in my crew so planning to use suite upgrade. Open to Marriott if no good Hyatt options. We’re a group of 35 year old men

For a long time, leaders have been accustomed to H1B employees simply agreeing with them. It would benefit many of them to experience constructive pushback. You can often sense the discomfort when someone raises questions — even when those questions are completely valid. I hope this happens before they abolish the visa class altogether.

New Hyatt card SUB. $5k/3 months for 3 FNCs and additional 2 FNCs for hitting $15k/6 months. Better than the usual SUB if you have a use for the FNCs. Gotta think if this is worth a 5/24 slot for me... Also keep in mind that Chase expects to launch new premium cards for Hyatt, so those could make more sense.

Iran is now requiring ships that pass through the straight of Hormuz to pay their $2m/crossing tolls in Bitcoin Note that Tether, while more stable, is freezable at the request of the US government which is why it makes sense for them to be requesting Bitcoin for these transactions

I have been Hyatt globalist for last 3 years. I won’t make it next year - will only get to 42 nights and 83K qualifying points (100K needed). What is the best way to still get globalist? Is there a challenge type thing with Hyatt?
