I read an article on Indeed about how you should apply for jobs even if you don't meet all the requirements. Well, I've had this happen a couple of times on Indeed where if I don't meet one qualification that they ask about, it tells me I should search elsewhere. I usually ignore this and apply anyway, but I noticed it immediately says "not selected by employer" on the job. It makes me wonder if Indeed is just not bothering to submit my application since I didn't meet a qualification.

When I was searching for information on whether Indeed posts jobs on other sites like Glassdoor, I came across this. What do you think about job layoffs to make room for the future? Do you think AI is going to cost more jobs, or do you think companies do this to keep a competitive edge? https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/careersandeducation/indeed-and-glassdoor-are-cutting-over-1000-jobs-the-ceo-overseeing-both-companies-says-we-must-adapt-to-ai/ar-AA1IqvJG?ocid=BingNewsVerp

Venting again… stop having people apply on indeed and then telling them to apply again through your website. Learn to use the resources, indeed lets you link your application process so that when someone clicks apply, it sends them to your website to apply. It’s a REALLY easy platform. Along with that, it’s takes and extra 2 seconds to look at someone application on indeed and mark “not selected by employer”. Red flag if you can’t do a simple quick button press

How should I approach a trusted publication that didn't provide the Zoom link in our video interview on the Indeed employer app? I responded to Indeed and sent a message through the Indeed message system to the employer to apologize for the mishap. The Indeed app immediately sent me a calendar invite to reschedule. The interview has been rescheduled and the link to the video interview still isn't active for testing purposes. How should I approach this employer?

If you ever have a phone screen or interview for a job you found on Indeed and they say that they will be in touch on next steps through Indeed, be aware that they are not talking about receiving a message through Indeed as they might just mark the job as "Not selected by employer" which I just happened to notice that today with a company I did a phone screen with yesterday late afternoon even though we had been messaging back and forth.

Does it scream “I’ll leave at the first chance of getting something better” if you have man by skills you learned listed on indeed? If a company was willing to work with me, let me move up, and start from LITERALLY JUST A DESK HELP position, I’d stay with them! Why is this so scary for them? Should I minimize the skills I have on indeed? I have a lot and I’m starting to feel like my page looks fake maybe? But I’m just being honest.

I’m seeing "Not Selected" on Indeed for a role I interviewed for last week. It said this a couple of hours after my interview. What's weird is that the hiring manager told me they wouldn’t decide for at least 14 days, so the timing feels off. Does Indeed ever trigger these automatically when a post is closed, or should I take the hint and move on? I don’t want to overthink it, but the mixed signals are frustrating.

People, people, people..... If you are using INDEED in search of a job, please make sure you look at your profile to ensure that your work history is up to date. Too often I am seeing candidates apply for a job and it has three or four jobs listed as current. When I am looking for employees and the job requires attention to detail, this could tell me you don't have that. Take the time to present yourself well.

I currently work for Indeed in NYC as an AE and am considering moving to Austin, TX. I’ve been here for a year. Can anyone chime in on what the transfer process from the NYC to the Austin office is like at Indeed? Any Indeedians out there that have done this or know about it? Do I need to wait for an opening there and apply or is there a more seamless way to make this transfer? Thank you!

Can’t even browse for jobs on Indeed, without getting ‘Scam Likely’. 🙄 I only apply to employers sites directly after browsing who’s hiring on Indeed & lately I get these scam texts, claiming to be someone from Indeed, with a bunch of other victims on the text.😵‍💫 Anyone else get these texts after searching for jobs on Indeed or any other job site?
