I’ve been with my company for almost 10 years, yet I’m still paid the same as new grads coming in. More work, same pay. Today, I started a new position as an HR/Recruiting Partner (never had a title like this either - it's exciting!) at a 2 year old mortgage company out of Michigan with lenders nationwide. I'm very experienced in manufacturing recruiting, C Suite and all sorts in between... however not lender recruiting experience. So! Recently, I received a job offer for an “Advisor” position with a large, reputable brokerage firm, but they rescinded their offer after completing a background check which included the credit report. Any current recommendations for student loan refinancing? I’m a third year with $350k in principal after clerking. All federal loans and a stable financial situation (great credit and long-term investments, but cash poor)… other than the elephant in the room. Finally ready to tackle this thing. I know this is asked periodically and I’m interested in recent experiences. Can anyone recommend a refi lender for good terms and/or decent rates?

Does anyone have, or is in touch with a reputable scholar, that has in-depth knowledge or riba? I’m very interested in real estate, and currently use Guidance Residential as a lender, but have been reading two majority opinions recently. 1.) Conventional mortgage is not the same as Riba as interest in conventional is typically fixed versus the ability to balloon in Riba or 2.) Islamic Finance just mirrors conventional so it’s still Riba. I've been in the Mortgage Industry for 23 yrs, most recently, an "Internal BDM" for last 7 yrs. Dilema; I may be offered a position with a lender with whom I have 5 yrs experience working with and whom I know their products like the back of my hand as well as having strong rapport and great relationships with hundreds of brokers over the years. Should I take this new position with a lender who will in fact pay me significantly higher income? Any advice?

I’ve been working in the fincrime domain for ~2 years, starting at NatWest and later joining Revolut’s FIU after a 1.8-year stint at RBI, driven by an 80% hike and WFH. While the exposure and pay are good, the role is mentally demanding with long hours. Currently on probation and recently moved to a business vertical, I’m exploring a shift to entry-level finance roles. I’m CFA L1 qualified with a B.Com (Hons). Any ideas or suggestions?
