The company I’m working for just migrated from Salesforce to Microsoft. I’m used to using Google suite + Salesforce in all previous tech roles. I have to say, I am SHOCKED at how awful Microsoft tools are. From outlook to dynamics, it’s like they’re 10 years behind. Its inefficient compared to what I’m used to and I can’t believe my company make this decision to switch.

During a recent video interview with Google’s Executive Assistants team, I was asked, “Is there anything we can do to make the world a better place?” I jokingly said, “Take down Microsoft,” and explained that many of my engineer friends—and I—genuinely prefer Google’s products over Microsoft’s suite. Do any of you feel that Google products are better than Microsoft’s?

Is it worth making a switch to Microsoft? Offer from MSFT for Principal Data Scientist (L65) in Raleigh, NC Offer Base - $190K Bonus - 20% RSU - $160K (over 4 years) TC = $268K My current TC - Base - $195K Bonus - 7% Stock - $25K per year TC = $233K The offer is final after I was able to increase the base by a bit and RSU a bit. Is it worth to make a move for this increase? I have been at my current company for 10+ years.

"Microsoft is facing mounting scrutiny over its use of the H-1B visa program after announcing a wave of layoffs in July that will impact approximately 9,000 employees globally. The latest cuts, affecting about 4 percent of the company's total workforce, follow two earlier rounds in May and June, which together eliminated around 8,000 positions. In total, Microsoft has laid off nearly 16,000 employees so far this year, out of its global headcount of 228,000."

What is Microsoft consulting like? What’s the pay/wlb compared to B4? I work in financial services and have had prior industry experience. Trying to gauge if a transition with an internal referral would be worth it. My current comp is right within the middle of the comp range (albeit no equity), and both current and future work is remote. I know tech has been a bit turbulent lately, does that also apply to MCS?

Anyone work on the Microsoft account at Dentsu? Want to know more about the relationship with the clients, what is something you would change if you could, and what is great about it. And would love multiple perspectives from different people working on different departments IE: Media Buying, Strategy, Analytics, etc

Would actively avoid Microsoft. Teams and Office both have just inept leaders. They don't understand the tech they're working around and by connection don't do process around it well. Company would be better off firing every 64 and above and starting over.
