Monks has an impressive client roster, and great work to showcase. Its external marketing machine, presence at conferences, etc is very impressive. They market themselves very well. The downside is they have trouble operating at the profit level to sustain the business long term, and this has created a series of restructuring, cost cuts (i.e layoffs) which have just made it a very depressing place to work. The stock price is in the toilet, which should tell you what you need to know.

Share with me your thoughts. I interviewed with Monks Canada months ago and I went through final round of interview before they told me that they decided to hire someone internally (which they never shared with me that they were considering internal employees). And surprisingly after a couple of months I see that position resurface again and I reached out to express my interest since I was the guy they almost hired. Applied again and reached out to the recruiter only to be rejected.

So, my sister's Pastor who hit on me called me from his prayer line's conference number today & of course I blocked the Prayer line conference number. I had contacted him in March for some answers & guidance regarding all of the negativity & toxicity that has been going on at my job & mentioned how I want to get married & he said "you & your sisters are beautiful. How come none of yall are married?" & he said "I'll marry you. Shoot. Do you know how to cook, etc." (Contd)

Does anyone have experience with Kyndryl’s Vital practice? I’m interviewing with them now and they’ve told me the practice is growing exponentially (adding 5-8 people in my specific role over the next few months) and from what I’ve seen they’re bringing in v impressive senior leaders from other design strategy orgs like frog, ACN song, Deloitte digital, etc. This all sounds great but I want the dirt if there is any. Are there any reasons not to work there?

Where are the best yoga/wellness studios in Jurong? Every weekend, I decide to do something relaxing or recharging like yoga but it just slips by me because I get busy with so many other things. I just need to find a community I can use as motivation to have these weekend rituals. Any names come to mind when you think of a community-oriented yoga studio?

I have been an RN at Benedictine Living Community-Crookston (formerly Villa St. Vincent) for many years. I love our Mission caring for others. We have such meaningful work to do! Has anyone successfully managed to get an interview at Monks? I’ve been seeing and applying to open Sr Copywriter/ACD roles for a while now and haven’t heard back. These job postings have been up for months on end.
