I have been working at Argos part-time for more than a year
A good deal of the time you are out in a van delivering to customers, being the only face some customers see. It's the best bit of the job, making people happy just by being on time.
Some of the non delivery work is a bit of a chore, manually storing and picking stock in a dirty (mainly dusty) warehouse. Poor shifts when they take on lots of staff but they still expect high... morale from the drivers who get them out of the smelly brown stuff on a regular basis.
Advice to Management
Senior management should get the poor, week and inept junior management sorted. Get rid of they can't improve them . Reward and recognition needs improvement for those who get the job done... everytime they are on - better contact after say a year.
