Pros

Joining the team means joining a class of digital marketers that show up and work hard. You always feel like there's someone who can help get the job done at a high level. The creative talent is... unquestionable. Welcomes young talent and a decent place to start a career in digital marketing.

Cons

2020 was a terrible year for Vital. At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, they laid off 20% of their workforce (some employees fired who were hired that week) overnight via email without notice and... failed to communicate how or why. For a company that has such inconsistent influx of work, they have hire a lot of new employees irresponsibly. The amount of turnover then isn't such a mystery, but it is a reflection on the terrible decisions made at the top.

Advice to Management

Focus on dependable sales and long term business goals. Make the company more loyal money and leverage the talent you have to maximize business potential. Start hiring employees out of necessity and... stop hiring them because they are tax write-offs or look good on social media. Don't be afraid to scale the business in new directions to help employees grow in their roles. Expand the capabilities of the company to be more versatile.
