I have been working at State of Nevada full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

- Structure - Flexible - Work/life balance - Plenty of learning opportunities I started my career in state service -- I've grown so much professionally and personally since then. Governance in a... pandemic takes a lot of creativity, resourcefulness and collaboration. It's something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.

Cons

- Work can be tedious - Middle managers are hit or miss

Advice to Management

It'd be great if salaries matched our local counterparts.

Pros

Union based. Plenty of overtime. Excellent training.

Cons

Low service levels. Not staffed enough to cover incoming calls. No moral or culture.

Advice to Management

Management should conduct team meetings to address concerns or answer questions.
