Does AMP Limited offer life insurance?

Pros

A1 office location. Glimmers of hope in collaborating teams such as Legal, Product Technical, Marketing and part of Operations. Opportunities for new joiners that should treat it as starting from bottom, it can only get better here after recent Royal Commission upheavals. Sensing willingness to change in the Life Insurance business.

Cons

Simple project tasks turns into nightmares due to entrenched bureaucracy, excessive numbers of “managers”, bloated teams and lack of accountability. Product managers in their ivory towers oblivious to their obligations, unwilling to collaborate, bullying hired SME remediating project teams. The pre-separation AMP insurance business is a text book example of an arrogant, bloated, backward, dysfunctional business wasting shareholders funds.

Advice to Management

Globalization is dying. Clean out the cobwebs and bring back full operational control, keep intellectual property, replace the woeful Tech Support, IT offshore solutions with local talented university graduates, blended with experienced visionary professionals that have a proven history of delivering innovative strategic solutions with more focus on customer centric service, the use of state-of-the-art digital solutions fit for 2025 and beyond. Set the bar high and promote a Service Excellence domains with an aim to lead the market (not just follow).
