What have employees experienced with background checks at Deloitte?

Pros

There is nothing to say here Judging from their allegations against me, I dare not say anything baseless that could err potentially here.

Cons

Gossipy colleagues. The work is nothing. Every second is scheming who to sack. They instill the political culture in the rules and systems to monitor everybody. Cannot do anything right in their opinion. Feedback they give is always negative. Employees get unmotivated as time goes by. Clients are difficult and fussy. (Giving me second opinions about working for some industries). Associates are spoon fed and protected. The HR is terrible and backstabbing as they told my prospective employer not to hire me during the background check. So much for career opportunity. HR executed whatever management says and there is no check and balance. Management is political and dangerous (dire consequences). Internally, people like to talk and gossip instead of doing work (work consists mainly of buttering clients which is vastly different from the ETL/ warehousing in the job description).

Advice to Management

Don’t blame it on the employees’ poor work performance when you all cannot tangibilize it. I don’t believe the things you say about my performance is impartial or unmotivated. I can delete as many work papers and comments in other places and they don’t question or have a problem with my ethics. Stop behaving so high handedly. You hold employees to the standard of robots. Then you realise from the high attrition rate that you cannot find the ‘right’ people. It doesn’t mean it’s people you are looking for, rather, you are looking for robots. Why not swipe your corporate card and purchase an ERP for 1 million dollars so I don’t need do data collection myself ! Far from perfect, idealistic, antiquated company and management.
