What is health insurance like at Experis?

Pros

Working from home is awesome, really talented and encouraging co-workers

Cons

The benefits are horrible, holidays were rolled into Vacation time, no sick time, and health insurance is very expensive and worthless. No 401k match and the pay used to make it worth it to lose all that but they have cut that too.

Advice to Management

Totally micromanaged to distraction. No training and leads and managers are too busy to help. NOT an entry-level position.

Dedicated and responsive team, open communication, friendliness of the staff, great job postings, paid holidays after a certain number of hours worked

Offer some PTO or sick leave options after some length of time.

How are the career development opportunities at Experis?

Pros

The size of the company, resources/tools available, and stability (assuming no random lay-offs)

Classic “Good Ol’ Boys” environment Women and minorities are underpaid for the exact same jobs compared to white males No career paths for advancement, unless you play politics to manipulate upper management Outdated competitive approach Lack of innovation and true cross-brand collaboration. The brands talk about collaboration but rarely truly do it at an operations or sales level. Employees are divided into cliques based on job title. Upper management creates these secret “lists” which are spreadsheets of names of people at risk of being laid off without notice, regardless off employees’ loyalty, value-add, or tenure. This is toxic and compromises the integrity of upper management.

Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people, not names on a spreadsheet or your org chart Be leaders, not managers... Leaders empower and guide their employees to new heights and unseen growth. Managers control and dictate. Talk to employees and have honest conversations without cliches responses or buzz words in every meeting. Pay attention to individual and team morale, and take action. Say thank you to your employees, it goes a long way. Hard work can be expected, but it should still be appreciated... Spend more time celebrating, or at least communicating accomplishments than revisiting one mistake over and over. Listen to your employees when they say they want a career path instead of just a comfort zone job Don’t lie to them about salary increases or bonuses not happening, when they do, every year... for select people Don’t ask employees to complete the annual survey every year, but do the same things for another year. I’ve seen this cycle for years now... Stop expecting human loyalty from people to stay at ManpowerGroup, but treat those same people like parts or resources in the organization. This is exactly why some of the best employees have been leaving ManpowerGroup left and right... so instead of staying around for another 6-7 years, I won’t be far behind...
