What is the salary like at MemorialCare?

Pros

Friendly staff, supportive management for my department

Cons

The salary is low and not competitive with other hospitals in the area

Advice to Management

Increase pay to help retain employees rather than continuously hire new people who leave after they get their experience

The salary is low and not competitive with other hospitals in the area

What are pay raises like at MemorialCare?

Pros

Memorial had a great team where you can rely on your coworkers for help.

Cons

The pay raise for PCA’s is like 25 cents if anything per year , The union does not protect their employees , In adult floor PCA do most of the work In pediatric floor PCA are always understaffed , Overall the hospital does not value their work or pay them accordingly . Nurses get pay raises from 1 - 5 dollars often and as a PCA their my raise has been less than a dollar in 6 years

Does MemorialCare offer bonus pay?

Pros

Co-workers and other departments worked cohesively for the benefit of the patient.

Cons

New management/administration knowingly and illegally shorted weekend pay in order to save on budget to make themselves look good for executives and to pad their own bonuses.

Advice to Management

Think twice and check with hr and the legal staff before making decisions that affect the livelihood of the healthcare employees.
