What is the hiring process like at MemorialCare?
Pros
I started as a new grad RN here on a Med/Surg unit and felt supported by my coworkers. I could ask questions and get support. I feel like I'm listened to when I have concerns.
Cons
I don't think the downsides are related to LBMC specifically - it's just that bedside nursing is hard. Lots of people left, especially during COVID. But our staffing levels are still decent.
Advice to Management
Some managers are better than others. You can tell the ones who have their employees' backs and the ones who don't.

How was the interview at MemorialCare?
Pros
I previously worked for a company that I loved and where I thought I would work until I retired. I used to joke that it was my second home. When office closures impacted my position, I never thought I'd find another employer that would feel like "home" again.....until I landed my job at MemorialCare. I knew from the first interview that I had found my new home. There is such a warm sense of belonging--the people are amazing. And the company's integrity is unmatched. I'm proud to work for MemorialCare.
Cons
I can't think of any cons.

How do employees feel about MemorialCare's hiring practices regarding hiring without bias?
Pros
Innovative corporation, collaborative teatment team operations, fiscally competitive, magnet hospital, good benefits, pleasant EMR and training system platforms.
Cons
Complaint resolutions through HR were non-existent and unsupportive for regular staff, yet supportive with no accountabilty action for complaints against management/ supervisory personnel. Biased actions and decisions were never investigated. Tarnished and improper accusatory penalties remained on employee records due to no acknowledgment of written rebuttals. Therefore, no promotion or educational opportunities were considered. No complaints were ever recorded on management / supervisory staff. Discrimatory and unfair practice toward lower staff personnel.
Advice to Management
Make management accountable for wrongful treatment and actions taken upon lower level staff. Support all staff equally and unbiased. Follow through on bullying by management, especially those with consistent complaints. Tenure/ seniority should not be a reason for no accountabilty in workplace bullying. Investigate the common issues instead of allowing the character and integrity of lower staff being wrongfully destroyed.
Biased actions and decisions were never investigated.
