How are promotions handled at Symbio?

Pros

Flexibility for appointments, sickness, out of work responsibilities etc Before covid they had skilled staff, a huge morale, social functions, in office excitement and everyone seemed to have a purpose. Not the case anymore but this was a huge pro they had for a very long time. I had a great 4 years with MNFGroup/Symbio.

Cons

You can only grow to a certain point, including evolving (which doesn't always need expensive price tags & promotions). The morale and office environment that used to thrive is non-existent anymore. And no one seems to be working towards getting anything similar back. There are a lot of managers/higher up employees who have been there for 10+ years that need to take basic management courses because unfortunately they're lacking basic management skills and some are stuck in old-fashioned ways and for an innovative company that just doesn't work. My executive was the head of People Experience and when my role was made redundant I didn't hear anything from them, not even a "thanks & best of luck" - a bit sad & lacking really.

Advice to Management

Fact - most of your managers haven't done a management course in over 8 years, they're stuck in their ways, half of them don't do the basics when it comes to their individual employees.

How do employees feel about their professional development opportunities at Symbio?

Pros

I was with the company for a number of years, and I could see that the company is working hard to change and transform into a global market. Great company for training, upskilling and growing in your career.

Cons

A lot of long time staff had left (attempt to change the company culture???), lot of projects, but not enough resources to complete, lot of legacy systems, however, they are changing that now.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, and get their honest opinion before making decisions. Don't just listen to managers and go /agree with what they say. A lot of people I worked closely with left because of middle management but nothing was done about it?

Great company for training, upskilling and growing in your career.
