I applied online via LinkedIn, didn't hear anything for a few weeks but once the recruiter was in touch things moved very quickly, there were 4 stages in total though they seemed confused about how many stages there would be initially and kept adding additional stages, which seemed disorganised. I was really disappointed to receive vague feedback 'not a fit for the team' after dedicating 3-4 hours of my time for interviews, a couple hours of research, many emails and phone calls back and forth. Candidates deserve better than this for all the time and energy we pour into the process.
I think the interview style is very dated, the questions aren't helpful and my final stage interviewers seemed bored throughout the call. I was surprised to hear their feedback on there being a lack of a team fit, we didn't touch on any personality or culture questions (which should have been a red flag really), but just discussed work experiences so struggling to believe the team fit excuse.
To her credit, the recruiter I worked with was great, she called me after every interview to ask for my feedback and check in and give me a rough estimate of how long it would be until she had news on the next stage.
I think ABM need to streamline their interview processes and give managers interview training so they don't ask terrible questions, help candidates feel comfortable, get to know them as people and provide useful, actionable feedback.
