First HR interview
Second Tehnical Interview with a lot of code reading and QA methods
Third interview with some people from other country where they try to confirm your knowledge and learn more about you
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AMD (San Jose, CA) in Apr 2024
Interview
Whole process took about 5 weeks from the time the recruiter first reached out accepting an offer. Phone interview -> Onsite interviews -> offer
Submitted resume and cover letter. Recruiter reached out to schedule a phone interview with hiring manager. Most questions were behavioral, asked me to introduce myself and tell them about my experience. Talked at surface level about my relevant experience, noting key qualifications from my resume.
Second interview was onsite. 4 back to back 30 min interviews with team leads. All asked general questions about experience and specific questions to gauge knowledge. Ended with 30 min tour of the lab and overview of where I would be working. Culture and personality were huge selling points. Perfect technical knowledge was not expected, team oriented attitude and willingness to learn was favored most of all. Overall interview was challenging but pleasant.
I applied through university. I interviewed at AMD
Interview
Regular technical interview with a question on how to diagnose and repair hardware issues they asked a few behavior questions at the end that had to do with staying late and non cooperative coworkers.
