I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AOL (London, England) in Jan 2016
Interview
There was a brief phone interview that was very easy, just looking to verify you are who you are. Then came the first interview and it's not good at all. The interview was as warm as a wet blanket. This is a straight numbers person, so if you are someone who is not a total accountant sort, probably not a great fit for you. Combined with a very tight lip and a intimidating demeanor, I can say it was probably one of the worst interviewers I have. I am normally a good interviewee but this person put me completely at unease.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lots of basic accounting questions- no examples or documentation supplied. The person also doesn't tell you if you are right or wrong, so it's very much like an exam being giving by your least favourite school teacher.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at AOL (Dublin, Dublin) in June 2016
Interview
Very tough, detailed interview. Lot of questions about culture. More of assessing whether the candidate is the right fit rather than has candidate enough relevant knowledge and skills to do the job.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AOL (Dulles, VA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Interviewed with two managers and an Accounting Director. I discussed my experience and background with them and how it related to the position available. The managers and accounting director provided great detail of information about the role and the team. They were also very detailed in answering my questions about the recent company changes.
