I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ace Hardware (Denver, CO) in June 2011
Interview
The store manager and the assistant manager met me at a coffee shop across the street from the store and asked about my previous experience. I had worked in construction and had gone to college and had previous customer service experience, so I was somewhat over-qualified for the position. They could tell that I was at least a friendly and competent person, and that was more than enough qualification for that position. I was hired and began training that day.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ace Hardware (Essex Junction, VT) in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview process was relatively simple, with few questions asked about the actual job itself. The interviewer was largely focused on getting to know about the interviewee's availability. Some questions around prior experience and skills.
There are two people who conduct the interview who ask you questions about how you would handle certain situations and what you think your skills are. Friendly experience overall, questions were not too difficult

Question 1
What are some skills you possess that you think would benefit at Ace Hardware
Fill out an application, get called for 1 interview if selected, and that's pretty much it. Applications in person not sure if there's any online. It's pretty straight forward with it.
