A 30 minute phone call from a recruiter. Then a 30 minute video call from the hiring manager.
I am not sure it was possible to talk properly in half an hour about everything the manager was interested in - it was about work, management style, building a team, SRE experience, switching tech specializations, building a business. So it felt rushed.
After that - a rejection. Which is fine. But after 2 interviews I felt like it was possible to provide me with at least some feedback. So I asked for it. Got a generic "we went with candidates who were a better match". Which is fine for the reason, but could you at least elaborate what kind of experience was I lacking compared to candidates you saw as better?
