I applied online. I interviewed at Agua Caliente Casino
Interview
First I Applied online on linked in. Heard back around 4 weeks later from applying. Gave me an interview date but they then had to reschedule me last minute on the same day. I had a 30 min interview with talking about my background such as interships and schooling. They also asked hypotheticals about the job position I was in and how I would do in such scenarios.

Question 1
Where I went to college. What I did in my internship. And hypothetical questions
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Agua Caliente Casino (Rancho Mirage, CA) in July 2024
Interview
I was contacted within 72 hours after applying via an online job board. The team member who contacted me was straight forward and acknowledged the person I was to be interviewing with was looking to fill this role soon. She stated there was a high possibility I would be contacted to come in for an in person interview within 24-48 hours following my phone interview with the hiring manager. She informed me of the role and position expectations and let me know she would set up a phone interview for me for the following day with the hiring manager. I asked outright what the company culture was like and was informed it was fast paced and that I would be alone most of the time (appreciate the honesty). My initial phone interview with the hiring manager was scheduled for July 24 at 11:00am, I did not receive a call and instead had to reach out to the recruiting department to inquire as to whether or not I had misunderstood the scheduled appt date/time. As it turns out the hiring manager neglected to contact me until 1:15pm that day. With no explanation or mention of the missed interview. I eventually was able to do a phone interview with the manager on a Thursday which lasted approximately an hour and 15 minutes and consisted of being asked several “if you were in this roll what would you do?” Questions. At the conclusion of this interview I was asked to come in the following day for an in person interview, to which I eagerly agreed. The morning of the interview I was contacted by the hiring manager 1.5 hours before our scheduled meet time and asked to come in half an hour earlier, I agreed. The interview itself went well, I was asked several questions and given the opportunity to answer within reasonable time. Following the interview I was given a tour of the facility and told I would be hearing back from the hiring manager within a week*. This interview was conducted on July the 26th, I did not receive a call nor email for follow up until the 21st of August. All I received was a brief “we have decided to go in a different direction” general email. After going through several screenings and interviews and waiting a month to hear back I couldn’t even get a phone call. Apparently the lack of consideration for your time is common as I have had several friends apply for positions within the company who have yielded the same results. If the expectation for this role is as dedicated as the hiring manager made it seem, there should at least be more consideration toward the potential employees they intend to bring on board. No communication for over a month after several rounds of interviews within the span of a week for a job does feel a bit tawdry.
