I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Airbnb in Apr 2017
Interview
One interview, 15 minutes. Milan area. Very fast, unexpected questions as you can see in the next section. The interviewers have this social bias and they want to seem cool, and they keep telling how cool is having free beer and not working so much.

Question 1
They asked two questions.
"what can you teach me in less than one minute? " and" how can we convince thirty houses on another platform to switch to our site?"
I applied online. I interviewed at Airbnb (New York, NY) in Feb 2025
Interview
Quite a lengthy process (4 rounds), but it was very well communicated and managed by HR over the 4/5 weeks of interviews and the questions themselves were relatively straightforward including behavioral questions, interest in the role and area, experience-based questions.

Question 1
Which core value of Airbnb do you resonate the most with, and why?
Recruited. Phone screen. Multiple rounds or interviews with friendly people. Asked a lot of STAR and behavioral questions. Long waiting time. Got an offer, but turned it down as the waiting time was too long.

Question 1
Is there anything that you thought you couldn’t accomplish but did?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Airbnb (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2024
Interview
Multiple interviews. Five in total with the recruiter and members of different departments. The interviews felt like casual conversations as they try to get a feel of your vibe. They also work with you to decide how your previous skills best benefit the company and which department would be most mutually advantageous.
