I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Ally Financial (Charlotte, NC) in Nov 2015
Interview
Ally came to my university, I was then encouraged to apply online. After submitting my application I had a 15 minute phone interview. The recruiter then recommended me to Super Day. This is a series of interviews. I had 3, mostly filled with behavioral questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ally Financial in Sept 2024
Interview
The interview process was online. Questions appeared on the copmuter to which you had time to prepare to answer at your own pace. The alloted amount of time to answer a question for the two recording attempts were about 2 minutes long.
Tell me about a time where you had to work as a part of the team to accomplish a goal or complete a project. What was your role, how did you contribute to the team's success?
Tell me about a time that you were assigned a task about which you had no previous knowledge. What steps did you take to learn this task? What was the outcome?
Please share an example of a situation where you had to deal with a stressful work or school environement. How did you manage your emotions and maintain productivity during that time?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Ally Financial (Detroit, MI) in July 2021
Interview
After applying , I didn't hear anything until 5 weeks later. Recruiter then reached out and scheduled an interview with the hiring manager for the next week. Interview went well, but I didn't hear any updates from either recruiter or hiring manager, even after emailing the recruiter and hiring manager a couple weeks post-interview. Finally received a generic "Job Posting Filled" email stating position had been filled about 4 weeks after my interview. I would have appreciated the recruiter reaching out to me with this information in a more timely fashion.
