      Management Intern Interview

      12 Mar 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon in Nov 2011

      Interview

The interview consisted of a production efficiency evaluation. I was provided with several different production circumstances and was asked to use the information and determine proper allocation of my "employees" for that day. This was very difficult, and I was given several curveballs, such as "One of your employees left work early. Now what?" The subsequent questions were very basic. Essentially, they wanted me to convince them why I am good with people and why Amazon is the most exciting company in the world.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Your employees are currently procession X number of orders per hour. Assume, however, that your demand in department Y is being doubled for the afternoon and one employee is leaving work early. Please reallocate your employees to the appropriate department.

      Question 2

What would you do if an employee asked for preferential treatment regarding being late to work, and you knew they had a valid reason for this request?
