I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2022
Interview
Slow, methodical, sometimes intense, more complicated than you might think and for reasons most people don’t get. They work very hard to ensure a really good fit and strive to find perfect candidates appropriate for the position. They are all human and certainly make mistakes but they go to great lengths to ask things like: will this person not only do well but will they be promotable? Does this person fit in with culture? Will they be happy working with the team? Are they up to the demands and requirements to be highly independent? Can they handle the stress that many Amazon jobs come with? Its not just about technical skill or the ability to align your experience with the job description. All this can take time and the pool of managers that will be interviewing you make also be interviewing dozens of others for the same or other positions while maintaining a heavy workload of unrelated responsibilities having nothing to do with your interview. All these people must coordinate reviews and agree that you meet all the areas they have decided to review as well as your fit with the leadership principles of the company. Then getting all these people on phone calls at the same time to discuss your position is a challenge to coordinate.
Interview involved one screening OA and one final day, 3 back to back interviews, one technical, one behavioral and one mix. Focused on leader ship principles and DSA and algo
Good and better interview so far its worth giving a try rather than not. Good interviewer pleasant speaking and comfortable so far its worth giving a try rather than not good interviewer pleasant speaking and good
The process began with an Online Assessment (OA) featuring two coding challenges and a work style simulation. This was followed by a technical phone screen. The final round consisted of 4–5 virtual onsite interviews covering Data Structures & Algorithms, System Design, and a heavy emphasis on Amazon's Leadership Principles.
