      Customer Service Representative Interview

      7 May 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2018

      Interview

Applied online few days after position was opened. Week later got a phone call from a recruiter scheduling me for a face to face interview the next day which was a very short notice but thankfully o lived only 10 mins from the airport. Arrived 10mns early and waited at the ticket counter with one other candidate. We were later called in for interview. It was a very straight forward interview with three managers/supervisors. They told us about the company and what the job entails. We were both interviewed together and asked the same questions. They listen to you and write down your response as you answer. Interview process was about 15mins. Then they tell you what to expect of you are hired. They tell you to expect to hear from them back in about 2 weeks. Thank God a week later received a call and an email from a recruiter with a job offer and how the hiring process will go. I would say every stations hiring process may be different so don't freak out if they don't give you a response right away just expect to hear from them later in the days. Also don't be disappointed or give up if you are not selected or did not receive an offer. Just keep trying because this was my third time applying and finally received a job offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Didn't really have any difficulty even though this was my second time applying and being successful. I would say if you are not selected don't give up just keep trying.

      Interview

First they assign you an interview, so doesn’t matter if you are available or not, and they don’t tell you when it is until about 5 days before. I scrambled to get my work covered for that day and in an email they tell you to get to the airport 15 min before your time. I get their on time but have to wait at the ticket line to tell someone I’m there. By the time I get to a person, it’s my interview time and it proceeds to take more time for the agent to tell someone I’m even there. At this point I’m late and the supervisor tells me that the manager said I’m late and I’ll need to reschedule. It’s not even 3 minutes past, and I’ve left work early and driven 30 minutes for nothing. They don’t even validate my parking for me, so now I have to pay to park for nothing as well. Don’t bother applying here, it’s a waste of time.

      Question 1

They asked me how I handle pressure when multiple priorities are competing. It stood out because it directly relates to the pace of the role and how I stay organized and focused

Not much to say, I didn’t get the job. I interviewed online and it was pretty straight forward, but I didn’t like the location I would’ve had to work at, so we didn’t proceed
