      Software Tester Interview

      30 May 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aon (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Interviewed by three people, one from HR and two from the department I was interviewing for. It seemed to go very well. They were looking for good manual test experience and someone who wanted to get involved in automation. Went on for about 45 minutes and was told at the end they would let me know within a week. They then phoned a week later to say not successful and it was very close between myself and another candidate. They went on to say that the other candidate had slightly more experience and that tipped the balance. The HR person who phoned me kept saying I'd done a great interview and if anything came up on their website that I wanted to apply for that I was to get in touch directly because another full formal interview wouldn't be required. Two months later the same job came up so I phoned and emailed the person in HR and they just simply ignored me. Not a word. So I presume what she'd told me after my initial interview was not true. Time wasters.
