      Process Division Graduate Interview

      4 July 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cambridge, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, England) in June 2013

      Interview

Initial Interview (half an hour) consists of trivial questions about the resume. Second round (one and half hours) consists of pure technical questions based on the desired skills of the JD. Interviewers are patient, helpful and give hints when stuck. Questions are molded more as practical scenarios and not as pure theory. They begin with very basics and then incrementally move on to advanced cases. They would try to see your application knowledge in the more complex questions towards the end. Third round is pending but they said it would be pure HR if selected

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

To design a model of a hardware device which can be used to debug values taken by the PC (program counter) in a processor. Trick was that the PC values are 32 bit but buffer space was limited.
