I first had a phone interview.
Then onsite interview loop.
The first one went smoothly, and very friendly.
Then the Hiring Manager/Dev Manager was rude and close minded. I believe this is his first manager position so I understand. Avoid this company if he is still around.
The final interview was also very friendly though.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Write code to figure out if a string is a palindrome. Write test cases.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Author-it Software (Seattle, WA) in Sept 2015
Interview
Roughly 30-minute phone screening. I don't really know what would come next for a successful candidate; the person I spoke with definitely passed my resume on to the hiring manager, but the hiring manager was apparently looking for a different profile, possibly someone more junior, possibly someone who had certain very specific experience.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Author-it Software (Seattle, WA) in July 2015
Interview
A phone call with HR describing the company and position. Another phone call with the dev manager about education and skills. A three hour onsite visit with interviews with senior software developer, senior software developer in testing and the dev manager. Talked about my projects, experiences, and asked questions about the company. Had lunch with the dev manager before our interview. The whole process was very casual and easy.
