I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BNSF Railway (Denver, CO) in Apr 2014
Interview
After taking and passing an online assessment, you are then invited to an all day realistic job prevue, 15 min standard interview and hair sample donation. 52 people were invited for 20 positions. The job preview was informative and expanded on what the job announcement said. The interview consisted of two people and they asked everyone the same questions. They all revolved around safety and basic questions about your willingness to work in inclement weather and shift work. The longest part of the day is waiting to donate hair for the drug screen. Everyone must donate hair, but it is not ran unless you are given a conditional job offer.

Question 1
None, they were all very basic and straight forward.
Sat in a room with a couple people from HR. They asked the most bland canned questions you can imagine. Seems like this step had little to do with questions and more to do with feeling out candidates.
