      ECommerce Product Manager Interview

      24 Mar 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Park City, UT
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Backcountry (Park City, UT) in Dec 2009

      Interview

All of my interviews were by phone - the first was quick, very impersonal and not a very deep discussion on any points of the job but focused on my knowledge of the industry. The second call was much more of a discussion - with more personal interaction and the opportunity to discuss both my skills and the companies needs/outlook for the position. Third call was with what would have been a peer on the team. Very conversational, some more probing questions, but still nothing too difficult or skills related. Timing was VERY long - weeks passed between calls, with no communication from them. It wasn't until I called 2 weeks after the last interview that I was sent an email explaining that someone else was a better fit - but here is a coupon to come shop with us... At no point was compensation or benefits ever disclosed.
