A third-party recruiter reached out to me and did a basic skill screen through the phone. There was radio silence for a while after that (I later found out this was because Barclay wanted to fill a different role first), but about three weeks later, the recruiter got back to schedule a phone interview with who would be my direct supervisor. One week later, a Zoom Interview with that same supervisor, though this was just to confirm that I was still interested in the role and not e.g. about to take a job elsewhere. Two days after that, I had the final phone interview with my supervisor's supervisor, the vice president of engineering, and an offer was made the day after that. At some point during the process, All in all, the process from first contact by recruiter to receipt of official offer lasted from September 22 to November 13. Currently going through onboarding, but they expect I'd start around December 7.
